Chiyaan Vikram - Pa Ranjith film is titled Thangalaan aka Thangalan.  The dialogue of this movie was written by Tamizh Prabha and directed by Pa Ranjith. Malavika Mohan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Harikrishnan, and many other actors played supporting parts alongside Vikram in this movie.

The music composed and background music for this movie were written by G.V. Prakash Kumar, and Selva Rk and Kishor Kumar were in charge of the film's cinematography and editing, respectively. This movie was made by K.E. Gnanavelraja under the auspices of Studio Green and Neelam Productions.

Thangalaan, a historical drama film, is based on events that actually happened in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). Ranjith had previously directed Natchathiram Nagargirathu, while Vikram had previously acted in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. Vikram's gruff, rural appearance in the movie's title announcement video stoked interest in its debut. A video revealing the film's title and its initial teaser were both released on October 23, 2022

Release date

The theatrical release of the multilingual film Thangalaan, which was shot in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, is scheduled for April 2023.
